Ada was born on May 26, 1927, in Waynesboro, Miss. and resided in the Capital Region for over 68 years. She was a devoted member of Wilborn Temple First Church of God In Christ in Albany, and was involved with various church auxiliaries. In later years, she was honored to hold the position of Church Mother. "Mother Kitchen" as she was affectionately known, touched so many lives as a role model, counselor and mentor. Yvette Kitchen; her grandson, Kevin Kitchen Kane; her parents, Arthur and Ola Moore; two brothers, Charles and Lenon Moore and her aunt and uncle, Bishop and Mother Wilborn. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Jesse Thomas. Moore; several nieces, nephews, and cousins along with her close friend for over 65 years, Mother Iola Dees; and the entire church family of Wilborn Temple. She was a beautiful, vibrant and spiritual woman. Her memory will be honored and cherished by all who knew her.
